What are the lashes made out of?
The lashes are made out of a synthetic fibre, are curved with a flat base and fine tapered tip, just like natural lashes.
What type of adhesive is used?
An odourless, medical grade adhesive is used — ideal for sensitive eyes. In my experience, very few clients with sensitivities have had issues with the bond used in application.
How long does application take?
Generally application takes an hour, but may vary slightly, depending on the individual’s lashes.
How many lashes are applied to each eye?
This will depend on the number of natural lashes the client has. This can range from approximately 50–80 lashes per eye.
How long do they last for?
They will last for up to a month, gradually shedding in that time.
What if I want to maintain them?
Three weekly maintenance is advised should you wish to up-keep them, as this ensures a full lash line.
Are they waterproof?
It is important that the lashes are kept free of water for the first 24 hours following application. This ensures good adhesion of the bond.
A few more things that are good to know:
- Avoid saunas and steamy environments
- Use water based, not oil based products around the eyes
- Try not to rub the eyes or play with them
- Do not use eyelash curlers as these will break the extensions
